MRA Volunteer Coordinator & Trail Maintenance Technician

The Motorcycle Riders Association is excited to welcome Anavrin Brooks as our new Volunteer Coordinator & Trail Maintenance Technician.

Anavrin officially joins the MRA on July 1, 2026, and will begin working with members and volunteers on Monday, July 6, following the holiday weekend.

This position was made possible through the Oregon OHV Grant Program and is the first position of its kind funded through the program. It reflects the MRA's ongoing commitment to protecting, improving, and expanding riding opportunities while building a stronger volunteer program for the future.

A Lifelong Passion for Riding

Anavrin's passion for motorcycles started early—he got his first dirt bike at just 4 years old and raced motocross from ages 5 to 19.

Around age 15, he discovered John's Peak, where he developed a love for single-track riding and off-road racing. Since then, he's spent countless hours exploring and learning the mountain that many of us call home.

At 18, Anavrin traveled across the country, riding and racing on trails and motocross tracks before joining the JDay Off-Road Racing Series, where he gained valuable experience working within the off-road industry.

In addition to riding, Anavrin has been working on motorcycles since he was a kid and has spent much of his adult life in construction. Combining those skills with his passion for trails has always been a dream, making this role a perfect fit.

Already Part of the MRA Family

Many members already know Anavrin from his volunteer work over the past year.

He has spent countless hours helping maintain our trail system, operating the Sutter, clearing brush, improving trail corridors, and volunteering at MRA events. His knowledge of the property, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for helping others have already made a positive impact.

Here to Support Our Volunteers

One of Anavrin's primary goals is to make volunteering easier and more rewarding.

Whether you're an experienced trail worker or have never volunteered before, Anavrin will help you find a project that fits your interests and available time. He'll help get you set up with the proper tools and equipment, provide guidance in the field, and work alongside volunteers to improve the MRA property.

His regular schedule will generally be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to work weekends when volunteer projects are scheduled.

We'll also be adding his contact information to the website and providing a dedicated phone number soon.

Please join us in welcoming Anavrin Brooks to the MRA team. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing the positive impact he'll have on our trails, our volunteers, and our riding community for years to come.
