Vintage MX at Bodnar Ranch 2007

Wednesday evening after work my boss told me that we would be working over in Klamath Falls until Monday.
Time to pack.Spent Thursday plumbing the new K. Falls "Jack In The Box".
That evening after work I drove out through Dairy turned left on Hildebrand Rd. and left again on Egert Rd.
A short distance up Egert, the road turns to gravel and here you are. Bodnar Ranch.

I drive in and there's Dirk Williams. The first thing on the agenda is to get a preview of the vintage course.
Dirk shows me the hundred yard long front stretch that drops off about two stories into the bottomlands.
It continues on another seventy five yards into a third-fourth gear lefthander that is sixty foot wide.
Then it goes up the swail and makes multiple rights and lefts on the side hill. Cambered and offcambered.
Really cool stuff.

Then friday morning back to plumb a cabin on the Greesprings by Howard Prairie.
Snowed and froze till noon.

WooHoo!!!!!! Time to go back to Bodnar Ranch.
Showed up and signed in for the weekend.

Cool, the crosscountry race is still going. These guys got to race around in the old equipment and out over the hill
into the high desert canyon. Dan said that there was a lot of high speed stuff mixed in with tight technical tree areas.
These guys looked to be having alot of fun. Dan Thoren won the race on his KTM 300.

After the cross country some more people started to show up.

Even the head Mud Turtle himself. While walking around I checked out the water truck. John Bodnar has been busy watering.

First thing next morning I find out that the king has taken up a new proffession.
Seemed to be practicing on site. "No.......Don't laugh..........Cough!!!!"
